Convicted Killer Now in State Correctional Facility

Danelo Souza Cavalcante, the convicted murderer who escaped from a Pennsylvania prison nearly two weeks ago, has been captured and is now in the custody of the Pennsylvania State Correctional Institution.

Cavalcante, 38, was apprehended by U.S. Marshals in Allentown, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday, August 29. He had been on the run since August 16, when he escaped from the State Correctional Institution-Mercer.
